   We are two German girls, looking for other foreigners to form a Lao beginners class with. If you are interested in learning Lao in a group, perhaps about two evenings a week, please get in touch and we can look into hiring a teacher together.

   I am here in Vientiane with my husband for about one year, too. We just arrived 2 weeks ago. We are Austrians and speek German (like you). We are also looking for a good opportunity to learn Lao and are interested in doing it in a small group (depends of course also of the costs).

   Hello everybody,

   Did you inquire about the possibilities to learn lao in an organisation? I learnt Lao for 3 months at the French Institute (Lane Xang avenue) and we were from different countries, so the teacher was speaking English and French.

   We could maybe find the same thing in another structure depending of your embassy..

   If I remember well, I paid about 1 600 000 kips.. but it may be more expensive than hiring a teacher..

   Anyway, welcome to Laos! :)
